Coraline (Blu-ray)

I bought this bluray from playusa.com as it is out already and multiregion, so will play on UK bluray and PS3 bluray players. Firstly it is a very good film indeed, and on bluray the picture quality is amazing. You get 2 versions. The 2D version which is 10/10 for picture quality - colours are beautiful. You also get a 3D version which you use the 4 pairs of glasses with. This version is stunning, and although it loses a fair bit of colour, it gains alot in incredible scenes. The 3D is jaw dropping, and we all had great fun with it. Watch the 3D in complete darkness, and you see all manner of items literally leap out the TV screen at you. Even scenes around the dinner table are incredible. I urge you to get this, especially if viewing on a 42-50" screen

This Blu Ray (as with the standard DVD release) does indeed come with both 2-D & 3-D versions. The 3-D is the red/green technology and NOT the 'Real-D' as shown in theatres. The 'Real-D' technology has not been invented for DVD releases as yet. The way Real-D works in the cinema, with the sunglasses type specs, is with two projectors showing slightly different images to create the 3-D. **Updated Info *** The new 3-D technology has now caught up and this disc will be re-issued on BluRay HD 3-D in 2012, with the cinema 3-D style technology.

Got it the last week but there wasn't any lenticular sleeve. Anyway the film is great.

An awesome film! A lot scarier than i had been expecting. I wouldnt reccomend it for young children but a great watch for most, especially in 3d!

And yes yodas12, it comes with the 2d and the 3d version :)

I can only echo what others have said about the film itself which s great and a must see.
With regards the the 3D version, how anyone could think that this is the new 3D technology is beyond me as is states that this disc comes with 4 pairs of 3D glasses. Now considering how much the shutter glasses cost, do you really think that you will get 4 free pairs with a Blu Ray that costs less than 10 pounds?
Apart from losing the colour detail that you get with the 2D version, the 3D version which uses TrioScopics 3D(magenta/green glasses) actually works really well, shows lots of depth as you would expect from 3D and I found to be much easier on the eyes than the normal red/green glasses.
This Blu Ray is definitely worth a purchase.
